The 5th Room of Laughter
In the 5th Room of Laughter, the "Clown of Silence" teaches us spontaneous play in the moment. His secret is doing through non-doing:
- The play arises naturally, from presence, the feeling of connection, and the poetic perception of wholeness.
- The Clown of Silence empowers us to appear uninhibited and unrestrained, authentic and truthful.
The Clown of Silence has many faces: from the classic clown to the poetic Pierrot to performance art.
In a sense, in the 5th Room, we re-enter the 1st Room of Laughter. But the naiveté with which we began our play in the 1st Room is now taken to another level through the experience of the "art of playful failure."
- More than ever, our play takes on the purpose of strengthening our connection with the whole. This opens a new door to laughter: the spiritual dimension of the clown.
The clown acts as a bridge, assuming his function as a mediator between worlds. When he appears, it seems as if he comes from another universe. He takes us and the audience by the hand and introduces us to the magical world of fantasy.
- The final point is the perception of the existence of the miraculous as a concrete feeling.
