The "White Clown" and "August"
Here, two characters and two worlds meet that could hardly be more different, yet fit together perfectly. Your game is based precisely on this contrast: the "White Clown" as high status and the "August" as low status.
In our game, however, the old status duo "White Clown-August" is reinterpreted. August is no longer the fool who tries in vain to imitate the White Clown and constantly fails. And the White Clown is no longer limited to the schoolmasterly and often repressive pretty boy who makes August look stupid.
The new status game takes aim at the status gap. The humor arises when status is revealed as a static fixation and reversed with wit. The punchline comes from the playful status change.
As a further game element, we will learn about character change, a clownish form of role switching in solo play. This allows us to alternate between and contrast different status roles.
