Play along
by Michael Stuhlmiller

Friedrich Schiller once said, "Man is fully human when he plays!"
I believe play is the most holistic method of perception and communication. When children play, they discover the world around them in a unique way that involves all of their senses. They process experiences and create new things. Through interaction, they can explore all forms of being and change perspectives instantly. They are masters of perception and creation. Unfortunately, we have lost this ability as we grow older. Playing only has its appeal when it involves winning and losing. Something that completely contradicts the true experience and meaning of playing.
Playing becomes competition, and "players" become losers and winners.
The clown reminds us of the true quality of play: discovering, experiencing, imitating, associating, and reinterpreting. Through play, we manage to forget feelings of guilt and shame. In play, we can be everything and let go of everything that otherwise holds us back. We become what we truly are: explorers and inventors beyond judgment and failure.
So let's not leave play to children alone. Through play, we learn self-confidence, courage, and come into contact with our unlimited creative potential. And this applies not only to children, but also to us adults, even into old age. There's no age limit to play. Of course, play changes—but it remains play!
- As children, we climb every apple tree because we aren't blocked by the fear of falling. When did you stop climbing a tree? Okay, maybe it's just a chair or a table that you climb and you get a different perspective. Maybe you just stand on one leg. Feel free to hold on. The important thing is that you don't forget to play, experiment, and try things out. Even if it seems silly. We can do much more than we think if we approach life playfully
I'd like to invite you to play, ideally with your children, and if you don't have any of your own, then with friends and, last but not least, with your inner child.
Get started and start to play!
I know! Sometimes you need a little stimulus to play, so I've recorded a few videos for you showing how parents can play with their children and children can play with their parents.
